Food Is a Mother is an annual zine curated in honor of Mother’s Day by Anja Tyson in collaboration with Mother Tongue Magazine. Contributors explore concepts of caregiving as they have experienced it or as they have given it, all in relation to food. Proceeds from the sales of this zine are donated to Little Essentials, a Brooklyn-based non profit organization fighting to eliminate poverty for NYC families with children below the age of 5, using resource-based support and education.
